Welcome to TUSD's Community Transition Programs

Empowering Students to Obtain Competitive Paid Employment within the Local Workforce

Our Mission and Vision

The mission of Tucson Unified School District's Community Transition Programs is to develop partnerships with parents and the greater Tucson community to provide students with disabilities, ages 18 to 22, a meaningful and rigorous transition to post-high school environments.

Community Transition Programs

Through our four programs—Advanced Community Training Program (ACT), Project FOCUS, Project SEARCH, and Transition from School to Work (TSW)—we aim to equip students with the skills, confidence, and opportunities they need to transition successfully into adulthood. Each program offers unique support tailored to individual needs, ensuring a comprehensive approach to development that empowers students to thrive both academically and professionally.
